HOW TO GET RID OF A STYE FAST
Quickly eliminate a stye following these five steps. Herbal, antibacterial creams, tea bags and soap and water are effective methods for clearing a stye.
If you are one of thousands suffering from eye styes, there are some things you can do at home to help. You’ve probably heard about using tea bags and compresses, and getting plenty of rest. But these methods are a bit different and may offer some relief when the others have failed. These methods use some of the old standbys, while also applying the use of herbs to get rid of the problem as quickly as possible. So if you want to get rid of a stye fast, try these 5 tips:
GO HERBAL
The use of tea bags is often used which provides relief to many. But some go a step further than that and use other herbal remedies, such as coriander seed and guava leaf. Coriander seeds help reduce the pain and swelling of eye styes. Simply put the coriander seed in water for around 2 hours, then squeeze the soaked seed and use the water for cleaning the stye. Then rinse the affected area. Repeat this procedure at least a week for best results.
Guava leaf is another well-known herb you can use to get rid of a stye fast. Use guava leaf ground up in warm water for best results. After placing the leaf in warm water, take the leaf and use it as a compress over your affected eye. Once the temperature of the leaf goes back to normal, dip the leaf in the warm water and repeat. It will take around 5-7 days to start to see the result.

ANTIBACTERIAL CREAM
If the herbal home remedies don’t do the job for you, you may want to consider using an antibacterial cream or ointment. Some of these have to be prescribed, but others are available over-the-counter. Most antibacterial ointments contain both an anti-inflammatory ingredient and an anti-bacterial one which can both help alleviate the problem. Consult with your local pharmacist about the use of antibacterial creams and use sparingly around the affected eye to get rid of a stye fast.
CLEAN WITH MILD SOAP AND WATER
Everyone is in agreement on one thing regarding stye treatment: keep the area clean. Bacteria is the reason styes develop in the first place, so the cleaner you can keep the affected area, the sooner it will heal. Use a mild soap such as Johnson’s Baby Shampoo and warm water. Apply with a Q-tip and gently clean the area outward from the eyelids and lashes. Do this 2-3 times a day along with the other treatments to keep it healing naturally.
Finally, if the stye if recurring or gets reinfected easily, see your doctor. They can determine whether there is something you are doing that may be reinfecting the area. Reusing unclean towels or washcloths, touching your eye, and other habits may lead to reinfection. In addition, your doctor may be able to offer some other advice in how to avoid getting a stye in the future.
